My Take

I ain't gon' lie I was tricked by this conditioner. The name had me thinking it was purely moisturizing when I picked it up. I don't remember if I read the ingredients list or not, but when putting this review together, I was a little shocked to see all that protein. *hides face*

Appearance
I'm pretty sure most of us are familiar with the VO5 'cheap-y' conditioners. This one has a similar appearance and consistency. It has a cream, almost peach color. It is by no means thick, but it is not super runny either. The smell is to die for. I love that shea, almost chocolatey smell.

Performance
I use this as a final conditioning product, after either deep conditioning or after shampooing (if I combined the pre-poo & deep conditioner) and I get the same results every time! Soft, easily detangled, awesome-smelling hair. The lack of tangles could be due in part to my wash day method where my hair remains in 4 braids for the duration, but in any case this conditioner is a welcomed addition to the routine. I really wish I had picked up a few more on my trip, but I will make it a point of duty to get my hands on some more soon.

Value
I recently realized it is a little more expensive than the other VO5 conditioners. I bought in the Philippines for about 200 pesos (roughly $5 or 6 USD), but I still think it was worth the buy. My friends in the US can pick it up from Amazon for (around) $7.49. I am a little startled at the price, but that's what Amazon is saying. Perhaps you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

All in all I love this conditioner. Maybe I'll get 1 or 2 more wash days from what I have left, but I'm already sad to see it go. I definitely intend to repurchase after I have used up some other conditioners I have in my stash.

Have you tried this particular conditioner? What are your thoughts?
