Flowers? For me?! - Hair of the Week (HOTW)

I am continuing with my weekly protective styling plan. This week's style was a lot of fun to do. It features flat twists and two-strand twists shaped into flowers.

HOTW - Flower Power

How to:
  • Separate hair into halves
  • Further separate the upper half into thirds
  • M&S/ LOC hair
  • Flat twist onto head and secure
  • Two-strand twist the ends and make a circle with twist and secure
  • Repeat for the other five sections
  • Enjoy!

*Make the circles close to each other so it appears full and continuous.

Flower Power - steps

This one took about 40 minutes to achieve but I think it was worth it.

What style are you rocking today/ this week?

    1. I totally agree with Courtnea! 40 minutes instead of daily manipulation? Yes please!

    2. Thanks girls. I have to say, when I decided to skip the wig, I did NOT expect it to be this easy, but styling once a week has been a breeze! No regrets.

  3. I would love to try these weekly protective styles. However, my hair dries out quickly. How do you M&S in a protective style?

    1. I M&S the exposed strands only, the hidden parts usually remain moisturized while tucked away in a protective style.
