So, over the years I've seen loads, I mean tonnes of videos about hair, and relaxed hair in particular.
Clearly, I'm very interested in the subject.
So the other day I was browsing hair videos on YouTube, when I came across this particular one that totally shocked the piss out o' me. Nothing I've seen before gave me this reaction.
The vid is rather long, 20+ minutes to be exact, but the point is made within the first 10.
So take a look-see and tell me what you think.
Why I Stopped Perming My Hair
And no, I'm not telling you to go natural, but knowledge is power. So do with the info what you choose. I'm just here to share :-)
Very cool!

I don't know about "cool" lol
DeleteWow! I was on the fence about going natural, remaining texlaxed, but am sold, done, you would think this information would be more available... Sad.
ReplyDeleteStill thinking about this, maybe due to bad touch ups, because relaxer should not touch the scalp, so a good mineral oil base could prevent this.... Just thoughts lol
DeleteThat's true. However, because she said pretty much ALL the African American ladies with a relaxer had the same issue, it makes me wonder if we are all getting bad perms, or if it happens regardless of how careful we are.
DeleteVery interesting! I have been natural for three years now and never thought to consider this. Great information.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting indeed.
Deletethis is a real eye-opener. I've never been tempted to go natural and I've been transitioning to texlax for about a year now but this is definitely food for thought and action lol.
ReplyDeleteDo you think you'll now go natural, Abbi?
A true eye-opener!
DeleteI just might!!!
Thanks to share these details it’s truly nice.
