As I told you before in a previous post, I rocked rope twists as my style for the week. Which were great for working out and keeping up with my healthy hair practices. However, by Saturday I had completed my 5/ 6 days of working out and wanted a different look.
I had planned on taking the twists down for a thorough wash but had not gotten to that yet, so I went ahead and undid them and did a high bun instead. Here's how I did it in just a few easy steps:
textured high bun on old twist (out) |
- Unravel the twists and separate to the desired fullness and volume
- spritz with water and let it sit for about 10 minutes to air-dry
- apply gel to edges and brush edges to neaten
- flip head upside down, gather hair at the top of head and secure with a ponytail holder
- form bun into desired shape
So that's how I wore my hair on Saturday for errands and hangouts. I loved that I could do something different from the twists in such quick time, and guess what... it was another protective style. Winnings!
I did wash my hair shortly thereafter. Stay tuned to see how that went.
How do you take your hair from functional to fun?
