Wash Day - Prepping for dem Braids! + Texture Shot

I started by prepooing with a mix of Aussie 3 Minute Moist + VO5. This stayed on my hair for a good 5/6 hours.

I then shampooed with Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo. I lathered once and let it sit on my hair for about 3 minutes.

After that, I deep conditioned with 3 conditioners in a layering fashion. I started with Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque, then I layered Organics Hair Mayo on top of that and finished off with some LeKair Cholesterol Cream. I left that on for maybe 10 minutes before rinsing. Both the Hair Mayo and the Cholesterol Cream contain some amount of protein which will help strengthen my hair and prevent breakage during the installation process.

I t-shirt dried until 80% dry, then I added some Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner as my leave-in.

When my hair was dry I proceeded to install my extensions, but that's a whole 'notha post =) Stay tuned!

Ps. I was 13.5 weeks post as at this wash day (06/30) and here is a look at what I've got going on new growth and texture-wise.
