We're in the depths of winter and with that come dry hands, feet and hair.
I have only ever found one product that I loved for moisturizing my hands and that was the Soap and Glory Hand Food. It left my hands feeling really moisturized without a 'lotion-y' after-feel and too strong a smell. It was gifted to me by a friend who went on vacation to America and so I am unable to get my hands on it now. I have tried so many others but nothing left my hands feeling the same.
Now, I love oils! I use them for EH.VERY.THANG. So something told me to pour some EVOO into a small bottle and stash it in my makeup kit (an old hand sanitizer bottle did the trick). Whenever I wash my hands at work (there is only cold water in the pipes dame da!), it is left really dry and cold. My remedy is to pour 3 drops into the palm of my hands and rub together. My-oh-my! My hands are left super soft and so silky each and every time. I go one step further by adding another 2 drops, warming between my palms and gliding them over my hair - soft to the touch hair every time. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! If you like, prior to applying the oil to your hair, you can add a tad bit of water for an M&S effect. Of course you can add other oils to up the game, but just plain ol' EVOO is A-Okay!
How do you maintain the moisture of your hair and hands while at work?
I can't believe I never thought of this. What a good idea. And I've been wasting my money on disappointing old hand cream. Thumbs up.
ReplyDeletelol it's so easy and effective.
DeleteGREAT idea. I've gotta remind myself not to toss my old hand sanitizer bottles so that I can do this!

Thanks. That's never a problem when you're a hoarder like me *hides face* lol
DeleteI think I will try this with Grapeseed oil since it is a little lighter. Good tips!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Lemme know if you like it.
