My Take

Appearance

This shampoo comes in a bottle which has an opening at the tip allowing you to squirt the product out. The size is 12.5fl oz. The contents is a green liquid which is not super runny, but actually quite thick for a liquid. It has a faint perfume-like smell that doesn't really linger.

Performance

How I Use It* Disclaimer

It is my clarifying and neutralizing shampoo so I used it accordingly which worked out to be once a month. However, I recently started using it twice a month to restore moisture via clarifying (among other things). I always pre-poo prior to using it, which I don't rinse before shampooing, I add the shampoo to my hair while the oil is still in it. Also, I lather only once, leaving the shampoo on my hair for around five minutes. Additionally, I usually dilute with either and oil (EVOO or grapeseed oil) or water. Therefore, my methods may have some bearing on the results I get from this product.

I downright love this conditioner shampoo lol. I can honestly say that it does what it says. It moisturizes and detangles my hair very well. Actually, scratch that, I don't know if I'd say it detangles, because I usually detangle before I shampoo, but while some other shampoos can cause tangling to occur, this one doesn't, which is good enough for me.

Sometimes I wonder if it really does clarify since my hair never feels stripped (again, this may be attributed to my methods), but I figure it does, since my hair is usually clean. After using it, I often feel like I could stop at this step. This is the best shampoo I've used, I wish I could use it with every wash. OK OK I'll stop now, lol, I just really like love this shampoo. Anywhoo, on to...

Value

This shampoo is readily available and for a good price at that. I purchased mine at Ebonyline (useful for my girls who do not live in the US) for $6.29. The container size is 12.5 fl oz which is pretty decent. This is definitely value for money. A shampoo that is reasonably priced, of a decent size, and pretty much does what it says...you can't beat that with a stick!

Have you tried ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo? How was it for you?

    1. Yeah mine lasted for about a year. I repurchased last July. I think that's because I don't use it as often as a regular shampoo, and when I do, I dilute it.
