Straight Hair Update (Part 2) - Length Check & Trim

This is a follow up post to part 1, where I shared my recent flat iron experience with you.

In this post I show my current length, ends and my trim.

So after straightening I saw that I was badly in need of a trim. so I got my sister to do it for me. Instead of going for the straight across, blunt look, we went for the U-shaped trim.

My Trimming Frenzy

A few days ago a friend of Belowthawaist asked if I was ready to claim waist length as I was pretty close. I'd say as at my last length check I was about an inch (maybe 2) away.

But right now, I am at least 3 or 4 inches off due to my recent trimming frenzy.

I've briefly referred to the search and destroy method in posts such as this and this. Allow me to elaborate.

What is it?

This is a really simple method of identifying and locating split or otherwise damaged parts of the strand and then snipping them off with a pair of sharp hair shears.

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret! No, not that! This: I'm not a big trimmer. Yeah you heard me! I'm not like some others on hair journeys who trim every 8 or however many weeks. I usually trim once, that's right, once per year! I don't trim more often for three main reasons.
